Clinical Trials
Ethnobotanical research has illustrated the effectiveness of our herbal,
therapeutic compounds in producing beautiful, youthful looking hair and skin.
Please allow us to present to you a brief overview of some of these ingredients
and their clinically proven medicinal and cosmetic properties:
- Calamondin
Calamondin is a traditional Pilipino fruit that has been known to eliminate itching and promote hair growth.
Has skin lightening effects and helps to alleviate acne vulgaris and pruritus vulvae.
- Rosemary
Controlled chemical analysis has shown that Rosemary Extract has antioxidant benefits for the skin, and thus protects against the free radical damage that results in wrinkles (Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, Oct. 99', pgs. 3954-3962).
- Tea Tree Oil
Has been clinically proven to have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties that are uniquely effective in eliminating the bacteria that cause blemishes (Medical Journal of Australia (October 1990, pages 455-458) and Letters in Applied Microbiology, October 1995, pages 242-245).
- Green Papaya
Contains papain, an enzyme that has been proven to have exfoliating properties when applied to the skin (Source: Archives of Dermatological Research, November 2001, pages 500-507).
Produces younger, healthier looking skin by removing dead skin cells.
- Aloe Vera
Research has shown that the glycoprotein in Aloe Vera Extract is effective in wound healing and is an anti-irritant when applied topically to the skin (Journal of Ethno-pharmacology, Dec.1999, pgs. 3-37; Free-Radical Biology and Medicine, January 2000, pages 261-265).
- Gingko Biloba
Studies have shown the leaves to possess anti-inflammatory properties that aid in collagen production, and thus improve skin elasticity and firmness (Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Dec.1999, pgs. 1435-1440).
Ginkgo also has antioxidant properties (Skin Pharmacology and Applied Skin Physiology, July-Aug. 1997, pgs. 200-205).
- Licorice Extract
Has proven anti-inflammatory properties due to its high levels of glycyrrhetic acid (Planta Medica, Aug. 1996, pgs. 326-328).
Glabridin is the main ingredient in licorice extract. It has anti-inflammatory properties and there is research showing it to be effective in reducing skin discolorations (Pigment Cell Research, Dec. 1998, pgs. 355-361).
- Carrot Extract
Carrot Extract has been clinically shown to have potent antioxidant properties, and thus mitigates the effects of environmental damage to the skin and hair (International Journal of Food Sciences and Nutrition, Nov. 2001, pgs. 501-508).
